Rensair HEPA Filter Air Purifiers

Do you need a portable air purifier?

Rensair has the best air purifier in Australia, developed mainly for the Australian public and commercial spaces. Our HEPA filter air purifier can be used in hospitals, schools, hospitality, offices, retail and places where people gather. It’s hospital-grade, portable and unique!

Designed to clean air for every space, Rensair doesn’t just trap but destroy more than 99.97% of airborne bacteria and viruses. The effectiveness of our HEPA air purifier to destroy RNA and DNA viruses, bacterial and mould spores, fungi, dust mite allergens, pollen, pet dander, Staphylococcus, odours and tobacco smoke is documented by independent laboratories.

What is a HEPA filter air purifier?

HEPA stands for high-efficiency particulate air (filter). A HEPA filter air purifier is a pleated mechanical air filter. To be qualified as a true HEPA air filter, it must have an air purification system that is able to remove 99.97% of particulates with a very small size of 0.3 microns from the air passing through it. These particulates include moulds, dust mites and pet dander.

The Rensair HEPA air cleaner works by sucking in the surrounding air through the upper air inlet perforations. As the air travels through the removable pre-filters, which are at the top of the machine, large airborne dust and particles are caught and trapped. The pre-filtered air then gets pushed down into the cylindrical HEPA 13 filter by a powerful fan. The HEPA 13 filter is located in the middle of the unit, and as the air hits it, bacteria, viruses and small airborne particles and pollutants become trapped on its inner surface.

Additionally, an 18 W UVC lamp is in the centre of the cylindrical drum, and it continuously illuminates the entire filtration area. This UVC light disintegrates the DNA and RNA of all pathogens, destroying them in the process.

Clean air travels out of the unit through the lower perforations. The air flows out in every direction due to the cylindrical shape of the Rensair HEPA air purifier which makes it suitable for almost all locations.

What does an air purifier do?

Cleaning the air is the primary function of an air purifier. However, by removing airborne bacteria, viruses and indoor pollutants, a HEPA air purifier can lead to the following functions or health benefits.

In the absence of an air purifier, you would have to keep your doors and windows open as often as you can to improve air circulation. You must also turn on your exhaust fans, if applicable. However, these are not always viable. For example, you have just insulated or sealed your place in preparation for winter. Unknowingly, you have locked in air pollutants in the process.

Allowing the air to circulate in any space will remove dangerous particles from the surface. An air purifier can help you do this better because a unit can circulate the air in a room for about six times in a day, depending on the model.

If your space lacks fresh air, the indoor humidity levels will increase and give moulds and dust mites a perfect breeding ground. Nevertheless, asthma triggers are not only dust mites mould spores. They also include pollen grains, pet dander, dry skin cells, dirt, dust, air-freshening mist, cosmetics and even new carpets releasing fumes. If these particles are not removed from the air, they can be inhaled and trigger asthma attacks and other allergies.

An air purifier is effective in reducing these triggers as it removes microscopic impurities and increases air flow. Therefore, a HEPA air purifier also reduces the chances of developing asthma or triggering such attacks. With the high number of asthma triggers present inside homes or establishments and working areas, having an air purifier is helpful to clean the air of such triggers.

Closing the doors and windows of your house or establishment won’t shut off pollutants from outside, especially if you’re in an urban area where there’s a high volume of motor vehicle traffic. Similarly, you can’t avoid exposure to chemicals even if you’re inside a building. Cleaning agents contain toxic chemicals that can cause serious health issues if you get exposed to them.

An air purifier can clean the air and remove these gases and chemicals, helping you avoid the risk of health problems.

Although inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide is our normal process, confinement in any space without the possible circulation of oxygen can also result in too much carbon dioxide. Such a condition where oxygen may not be enough is harmful to bodies. Inhaling too much carbon can cause shortness of breath, nausea and other detrimental effects.

Having a HEPA air purifier cleans the air and reduces the carbon dioxide present in it. As a result, the possible side effects of consuming too much carbon dioxide can be prevented.

Asbestos is an excellent material that’s durable and resistant to heat, chemicals and friction. It’s commonly used in the construction and renovation of homes in Australia in the 1980s. Some of the asbestos-containing products were still used until the early 1990s.

However, asbestos particles are dangerous. If you breathe them in, they can cause various lung diseases like mesothelioma, a deadly cancer. These particles are also very small. You can’t see the fibres or smell them. This is the reason why asbestos is called a hidden killer.

If your house or building was built in the 1980s, you are probably exposed to asbestos particles. You need an asbestos expert or abatement professional to remove asbestos properly. During removal, the asbestos particles can become airborne and be inhaled. In this case, a HEPA air purifier that can capture asbestos particles can help you protect yourself and others, reducing the chance of breathing them in.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), such as gasoline, aerosol sprays, paints, air fresheners and even upholstered furniture, release an odour that can cause nausea or breathlessness. This smell can even affect a person’s cognitive functions.

If the VOC levels in a space are low, the productivity and performance of the people in it improve. An effective way of trapping these particles and absorbing all the smell is the use of a HEPA air purifier. It makes the room smell clean and fresh.

Are air purifiers worth it?

Yes, air purifiers are surely worth the money. They can remove viruses, bacteria, allergens and other pollutants from the air and provide numerous health benefits. Although the results may vary from one person to another and depend on the space where a HEPA air purifier will be placed, it still can reduce the chances of health issues that are associated with indoor pollutants. The use of air purifiers is one way of decreasing indoor air pollution.

Is air purifier good for health?

If you have chosen the right purifier, yes, an air purifier is definitely good for your health, especially in this time of pandemic. An air purifier can help trap pollutants and allergens and then destroy these and other airborne bacteria and viruses, making the air you’re breathing clean. It improves the air quality in your home or commercial spaces, and you get a generous supply of fresh and clean air.

As an air purifier cleans the air, it lowers your exposure to allergens and pollutants, thereby reducing your vulnerability to health hazards. In general, it decreases your chances of developing respiratory diseases and improves your overall health.
